See It, Snap It, Love It – Fun!

Last Thursday the Cheetah Keeper turned 5.  We celebrated with a whole load of cake, he got to choose some pictures for the blog (that was proper exciting!), some more imaginary friends turned up (we now have Cheetahs, Banana People, Dinos, Dino Brothers, Lemurs, Sonics, Rockhopper Penguins and Ladybirds) and on Saturday he had his party.   Experience has taught us that it is better to collect all birthday presents at the event and then open them at home – where it’s slightly quieter and more familiar – thus reducing the likelihood of a meltdown.  Ish.

His favourite present from his party was a pair of foam swords.  It’s taken me a while (like 5 years, 5 days and counting) to get my head around the whole boys and their need to fight everything thing.  I still find it incredibly difficult to deal with but on Saturday as the ‘fencing’ continued on and on around the sitting room I could see the fun in it.  I think this picture says it all:
