I’ve been overwhelmed by the really lovely comments that you, lovely readers, have left on here on the blog for the Cheetahs and I over the last week or so. One of them, from the highly amusing My Funny Mummy said this
Right, I’m here. I’ve come to slap a big greasy, infectious smile and your understandably sad face of late.
I’ve just nominated you for the BritMums BiB Snap! award – I love your piccies of all things normal and everyday – you make them seem enchanting and arty and meaningful in the same way I use words to make everything seem all annoying and frustrating and pooey.
Smile away lovely Mrs x x
and smile I did – in a rather embarrassed, sheepish and somewhat stunned kind of way. So, I’m popping the nominate me badge on my side bar and if you’d like to embarrass me further (and quite possibly shut me up into stunned silence) please do so. Thanking you muchly (I think), *blushes and returns under stone*.
The camera has been busy over the last couple of weeks – with various goings on, baking and visits to both ZSL London and ZSL Zoos. Spring is on the way, the animals are back in their outside paddocks and, despite the constant gale that blows around Whipsnade, the bluebells are beginning to poke through the ground and the daffodils are sprouting buds as well as leaves.
Now I also know that SAHDandProud (amongst others) rather enjoys a picture of a penguin (and quite possibly a chocolate one too) so I thought I’d bring you the Penguin Gallery today. A mixture of the black footed, humboldt, macaroni and rockhopper penguins that entertain us, time after time with their showing off, ability to tell the time (they line up at 2.20pm for feeding time at 2.30pm) and looking both funny and kinda cute at the same time.
